Target group:

This workshop is aimed at doctoral students and postdocs who want to systematically prepare for their job search, learn more about application strategies, and feel more confident in the application process.

 

objectives:

The online course provides participants with an overview of the various employment opportunities available to them. They learn strategies for finding a job that matches their profile. Participants also learn more about the career opportunities that different occupational fields can offer.

 

Description:

Participants develop individual application strategies based on their personal and professional backgrounds and employment opportunities. The relevant criteria that are mandatory for a written application are discussed. Participants also have the opportunity to have their application documents analyzed and optimized in an individual online coaching session with the trainer. The final group session of the online workshop focuses on the job interview. What aspects should an applicant pay particular attention to, and what elements make up a typical job interview? Finally, participants role-play individual elements of a job interview to feel more confident in such situations.

• My professional profile and employment opportunities
• Career requirements and preferred qualifications according to the HR department
• The various stages of an application process
• My individual application strategy
• How to structure and present application documents in a way that appeals to potential employers
• Important aspects of a successful job interview
