Man Enough to Care

For over 100 years, people have been fighting for equality on International Women's Day. But equality is not a “women's issue” – it concerns us all.

On March 8, the Böll Foundation cordially invites you to discuss equality as a shared responsibility and a benefit for all genders. Current developments show how deeply patriarchal structures are embedded in society. When they crumble, space is created: for compassion, for a different way of interacting with one another, and for care as an attitude.

Look forward to a practical day with keynotes, panels, workshops, and music. Experts from society, science, and culture invite you to listen, think, and discuss, showing how entrenched norms of masculinity shape our coexistence at all levels—and how much change is possible when feminism is seen not as a loss for men, but as a real gain. Feminism needs men—and men need feminism.

People of all genders and generations are welcome.

With: Jutta Allmendinger, Fikri Anıl Altıntaş, Tobias Ginsburg, Emilia Roig, Robert Stadlober, Tarik Tesfu, and many more.
