Target group

This workshop is aimed at all advanced doctoral candidates and postdocs who are preparing to take on their first managerial tasks, especially in the area of ​​project management.

 

Objectives

Doctoral candidates often take on their first management positions shortly after starting their careers. This generally also includes the management of projects The aim of this training is therefore

- to grasp the basic principles of project management for the participants and to implement them in their daily work,

- to master the instruments of result-oriented planning and control for projects and to transfer them into practice,and

- to know agile and classic methods and to use them depending on the situation.

Methods

Through lectures, group work, discussions and feedback, the participants are enabled to plan and carry out their projects effectively or to participate efficiently in projects. With the planning of a specific project from the environment of the participants there is the possibility to discuss the specific requirements of the university and to derive consequences for the project work.
