Management and Communication - What makes a good aspiring manager? June 11-12, 2024 - DE

Target group

This workshop is aimed at all advanced doctoral candidates and postdocs who are preparing to take on their first managerial tasks.

 

Objectives

In the workshop, they learn important aspects of inspiring personnel management, which they themselves and the employees enjoy and which is oriented towards modern entrepreneurial requirements. To this end, the necessary communicative tools are trained and tested in a wide variety of everyday management situations.

In addition, there will be group coaching sessions in the form of short workshops following the above workshop on June 14, September 20, November 29, 2023 each 2-4 pm, online.

  • Basic questions of leadership: What makes a good manager?
  • How can I integrate previous experiences into my own leadership style?
  • The manager as a role model
  • Motivation and enthusiasm as important factors
  • The role of communication in successful leadership
  • Confidently hold important company discussions, such as annual employee reviews, feedback discussions, conflict discussions and others
  • Aspects of successful team development
  • Radiate security and authenticity in change processes
